WWA expands into Brisbane

March 29, 2005

Perth, Australia – World Wide Auctioneers today announced an expansion to their operations in Australia, with a new facility in Queensland.

WWA Australia will hold its first Brisbane auction on May 31, 2005.

A large number of new and used items, ranging from crawler tractors and wheel-loaders, excavators and forklifts to generator sets, air compressors, etc, are expected to be on offer at the auction in Hemmant, a suburb just south of the Gateway Bridge, 10 minutes from Brisbane International Airport, near the Port of Brisbane.

The public unreserved auction will be operated by WWA Australia Pty Ltd, in collaboration with World Wide Auctioneers, Dubai. A large turnout is expected.

Brands on offer will include Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu and Mitsubishi, with many items on auction being either unused or with exceptionally low H/Ms.

Mr John O'Sullivan, the newly appointed General Manager of WWA Australia, said that the company had held a number of successful auctions in Perth, but this will be the first auction on Australia’s east coast.

"This upcoming auction in Brisbane is a clear demonstration of the company's commitment to the Australian market", he said.

He added that in addition to the Brisbane auction on May 31, another auction would be held in Perth at the end of June.
